Services
Our services
Measure your carbon footprint, reduce it, and prove the result to someone who is going to check. Everything below rests on the same measured data.

NCZ award and certification programme
Clear milestones for each step providing independent verification aligned with industry best practice. As you progress, you will receive your certificates and media packs to share your commitment.

NCZ carbon conscious events
Make your events sustainable. Let us calculate all associated emissions and offset them. This is becoming more popular than ever as a demonstration of responsible business.

NCZ carbon measured services
Position your service as the sustainable choice. Our team can report on and manage all your service-related emissions. For example, carbon measured Cleaning, Maintenance, Security.

NCZ carbon credits
Certified carbon offsetting projects offer a genuine solution for balancing any unavoidable emissions or having an immediate impact on your journey to net zero.
Carbon Reduction Plan for PPN 006
A published plan setting out your emissions and how you will cut them, in the form UK public-sector buyers ask for, built on measured data rather than a template.
Carbon credentials for tenders
What a buyer is actually asking for when a tender asks about carbon: a measured footprint, a reduction plan, and verification by someone other than you.
Which service do I need?
- A client, investor or tender has asked what our emissions are
- The award and certification programme. Start at the free Blue Award for a modelled estimate; Silver produces a scope 1, 2 and 3 report you can hand over. Read more
- We are bidding for a public-sector contract
- A Carbon Reduction Plan, in the form the policy note asks for, built on measured data rather than a template. Read more
- We keep answering the same carbon questions in every tender
- The tender page sets out what buyers ask for and which NCZ level evidences each part, so one piece of work answers all of them. Read more
- We sell a service and want to price it as the low-carbon option
- Carbon measured services. We report and manage the emissions of a delivered service - cleaning, maintenance, security - so the claim is measured rather than asserted. Read more
- We are running an event and want it carbon conscious
- Carbon conscious events. The emissions of the event are calculated and then balanced. Read more
- We have cut what we can and need to deal with the rest
- Carbon credits, for genuinely unavoidable residual emissions. Measurement and reduction come first; this is what is left over, not a substitute. Read more
Four levels, one body of work
The certification programme runs in four progressive levels, and they stack: the work done for one is the starting point for the next rather than an exercise repeated from scratch. The Blue Award is free and models your emissions from a questionnaire. The Silver Award, £1,500 a year, produces a questionnaire-based scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon footprint report. Gold Certification, £4,500 a year, measures all company emissions through the NCZ data collection portal and produces an ISO 14064 compliant report with a full emissions breakdown. Platinum Certification, £7,500 a year, adds the supply chain: a supplier emissions breakdown, at least 10% of supplier emissions measured, and engagement increasing year on year.
Every level above Blue is independently verified against internationally recognised calculation and reporting standards. That is the part a client, an auditor or a tender evaluator is actually asking about, and it is what separates a certification from a self-declared claim. See the full programme and what each level includes.
Measured against intensity, not just a total
A total emissions figure falls when a business shrinks, which makes it a poor measure of whether anything has actually improved. Platinum Certification is assessed on demonstrated reductions against intensity metrics - emissions per unit of the thing your business does - so growth and progress can be told apart. It is also the measure a buyer can compare between two suppliers of different sizes, which a headline tonnage cannot be.
The case studies carry the figures: Corps Security at 476.15 tCO2e, BELFOR UK at 2,261.55 tCO2e with a 10% year-on-year reduction, Kings Norton Golf Club at 671 tCO2e. Read the case studies.
